Head coach Mike Hesson has expressed confidence that his team will play their best cricket in the tri-series final against Sri Lanka, which is scheduled for October 31 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, despite the fact that Pakistan has already secured their position in the decider with three consecutive league stage victories.
Mike Hesson acknowledged that the team had performed admirably, but they had not yet realized their full potential.
Shaheen Afridi and her team have won three contests and lost one thus far this season.
Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 37 runs at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 18, 2026, and England by 87 runs at the same venue on October 20, 2026. Shadab Khan scored his first ODI century at Gaddafi Stadium on October 25, 2026, as Pakistan defeated England by a single wicket. This was their third consecutive victory. Pakistan advanced to the final on October 27, 2026, despite losing to Sri Lanka by eight wickets at Gaddafi Stadium. The squad resumed training at the LCCA Ground in Lahore on the day before the final.
